She went in as favourite to win, and came out to national disgust. So what’s in store for Romford girl and Celebrity Big Brother star Jo O’Meara?
The Rush Green born ex-member of S Club 7 entered the Channel 4 show last month in hope of lifting her music career. But instead she’s been portrayed as a bully and a racist by many national papers because of her involvement in the treatment of fellow housemate Shilpa Shetty, a successful Bollywood actress. She, Jade Goody and Danielle Lloyd hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons - and many believe their careers are all over.

CT spoke to Jed Wood from Cranham, who believes ‘BB has certainly raised Jo’s profile, but for the wrong reasons. I’m sure she’ll go back to doing what she was doing after leaving S Club - absolutely nothing’.Sam Walsh of Romford agrees; ‘It’s been a real shame to see Jo turn from down to earth Essex girl to vicious bully within a matter of days. Let’s hope she’s happy breeding dogs because I can’t see her doing much for a while, except maybe Brannigans’. Jo was expected to start work on the follow up to her 2005 debut album Relentless. It’s unknown if she’s changed plans now.Chris Simpson, a resident of Hornchurch and an avid Big Brother watcher added ‘She’s given Romford exactly the reputation it’s been trying to eradicate for years’.
