  Hairspray Sing-along

Sing-a-long-a Hairspray

Belt out hits with John Travolta in the brand new Sing-a-Long-a Hairspray at the Queen’s Theatre on Monday 15 September at 7.30pm.

The 2007 hit film, which also starred Queen Latifah and Michelle Pfeiffer, is the latest to be given the one and only Sing-a-Long-a treatment. So let your hair down and bring the house down when you test your vocals alongside hundreds of Ednas, Tracys, Links and Motormouth Maybelles.

Set in 1962 in Baltimore, the moving tale of big-hearted Tracy Turnblad and her passion for dancing is brought to life in the Queen’s main auditorium. In this wild, noisy, fun-filled experience, the lyrics for all the songs are shown on screen, so audiences can sing their hearts out to hits including Welcome to the 60s, Big Blonde and Beautiful and Miss Baltimore Crabs.

Nervous singers shouldn’t fret – a special host will lead audiences through a vocal-warm up to get you relaxed and ready to go. Everyone will then be shown how to use their exciting free goody bag and encouraged to take part in lots of fun actions and heckles. There will even be a fancy dress competition and prizes.

Dance in the aisles, boo Velma and be amazed at John Travolta’s fat suit in this memorable night of fabulous fast-paced fun!

Whether you bring your children, are part of a hen-party or are on a night out with your frends, Sing-a-Long-a Hairspray is the perfect way to brighten up a dreary Monday and set you up for the whole week!

Sing-a-Long-a Hairspray comes to the Queen’s Theatre on Monday 15 September at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £15 and £12 for under 16s. To book, call the Box Office on 01708 443333. For further information about the Queen’s Theatre, visit www.queens-theatre.co.uk
