Almost two hundred and fifty local people who make use of Age Concern Havering’s Toe Nail Cutting Service in Upminster will be re-directing their steps in the New Year.

The service is currently available from 09.00 till 05.00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Upminster Clinic in St Mary’s Lane. We are hoping to start the new clinic in Cranham on the same days, although the Cranham clinic will be available 5 days a week if demand is there.

The relocation to the new Community Clinic in Avon Road, Cranham is due to happen early in January 2009, when the new equipment is expected to be installed there.

‘As soon as the exact date of the move is confirmed all our clients will be informed personally’ said Julie Brindle, who manages the service ‘But we would like clients to have as much advance notice as possible, in order to avoid possible inconvenience’
